Oh, Pea...

Well, I guess it could have been a lot worse. My consolation is that a.) it's only Spring Training (still!) and 2.) you can't win them all. Heck, even Dwight Gooden lost 4 games in 1985.

Here's Oh-Pea's line after 5 2/3 innings:

H 9 R 5 ER 4 BB 2 SO 5 HR 0 ERA 3.51

So he struck out about one batter per inning. not bad. Only 2 walks, not bad either. Gave up lost of hits and a decent amount of runs - not good.

When you get a chance, look at my homage to Oh Pea. Oh yeah, and the MSF has two "unofficial" mascots. Say HI to Napoleon (the stripy cat) and Cassie (the one hiding in the box).

Tough line. 2 K's?? Yikes! Shake it off. He'll be good to go next week.

Coop--OPP is all yours. When the Mets announced his first start back in the Bigs last summer, I downloaded the Naughty by Nature classic and blasted it on repeat, driving our neighbors (and my wife) nuts in the process. Totally worth it, and can't wait to do it again in '07.

Thanks Bookie - tell your wife not to feel bad. She'd probably have to be committed if she hung out with me and Mr Coop - with our "yeeeeaaaaaahhhhhs" everytime valentin comes up, and "hell yeah bitches" whenever we see Willie. We're dorks.

Oh and for the record, he had 5 SOs, I guess I have it backwards.
Like I said, it could have been worse.

Ciao ciao
